Portfolio › Time Life
This project was completed during my time at Fry, were I served as the Chicago studios Creative Director. Time Life had a reasonably successful first generation eCommerce web site. They were eager to change platform so they could begin to work with new methods of marketing and merchandising across the site. An example would be utilizing Fry's targeted content functionality; this associates products on the homepage to a previous customers or visitor to the site. We presented three different creative approaches for the site (Two are shown below). The final design was selected because it best represented Time Life's brand. It has a distinctive tone and style that pulls through the nostalgic feelings and emotions that customers have for the brand. The use of color is based off of the mixture of music, artists, flyers and records that have been associated with Time life for many years. This design successfully challenges the traditional approach for creating an eCommerce web site.
